Built from the work.

Compass Works was founded on a simple observation: ambitious products rarely suffer from a lack of talented people.

They suffer in the spaces between them.

Between the founder and the designer. The designer and the engineer. The engineer and the factory. The factory and the brand. The product and the business it ultimately has to become.

Compass Works exists to connect those pieces — bringing clarity, commercial judgment, and experienced leadership to the entire journey from idea to enterprise.

I spent nearly two decades learning how products actually get built.

For nearly twenty years, I helped bring other people's ideas to life.

I worked behind the curtain — developing consumer products across audio, wellness, technology, and retail; navigating manufacturers and suppliers; solving problems with engineers and designers; sitting in executive boardrooms; walking factory floors; holding prototypes in my hands and asking the questions that needed to be asked when something wasn't quite right.

I learned that great products rarely move neatly from Point A to Point B.

They move through uncertainty. Compromise. Cost targets. Supplier problems. Design decisions. Engineering constraints. Deadlines. Launch plans. Customer expectations. And hundreds of seemingly small decisions that can quietly change the trajectory of the entire business.

Over time, I became less interested in any single piece of that process and more interested in how all of the pieces affected one another.

That insight became Compass Works.

Not simply a product-development consultancy, but a commercialization partner built to help founders and product teams navigate the places where vision meets reality.

The missing layer between the specialists.

Great commercialization requires specialists.

Designers should be exceptional at design. Engineers should be exceptional at engineering. Manufacturers should understand manufacturing. Brand teams should understand customers. Operators should understand the business.

Compass Works doesn't replace those people.

We help connect them.

We work across strategy, product development, manufacturing, operations, brand, and growth — translating decisions between disciplines and keeping everyone oriented toward the same commercial objective.

Because a beautiful design that cannot be manufactured is not a solution.

A manufacturable product with the wrong economics is not a solution.

A great product without a clear position, launch plan, or operational foundation is not a solution.

Commercialization happens when all of those decisions begin working together.

Founder-led.                                        Network-enabled.

Every Compass Works engagement is led directly by our founder and built around the needs of the work.

When a project requires specialized expertise, our network is equipped with the right capabilities for the opportunity rather than forcing every client through the same predefined model.

That structure keeps Compass Works senior-led, agile, and accountable while giving clients access to the specialized expertise their product actually requires.

One partner seeing the whole journey.
The right specialists solving the right problems.

What Guides the Work:

Clarity before activity.

Momentum isn't the same thing as progress. Before adding meetings, vendors, deliverables, or expense, we work to understand the opportunity, define the priorities, and identify what actually needs to happen next.

Execution over theater.

A recommendation only matters if it can survive contact with the real world. Strategy should inform decisions. Decisions should produce action. And action should create measurable progress.

The whole system matters.

Every significant product decision creates consequences somewhere else. We work beyond individual disciplines to understand those relationships and protect the integrity of both the product and the business around it.

Partnership over ego.

The goal isn't to be the smartest voice in the room. It's to ask the right questions, bring the right people together, challenge assumptions when necessary, and keep everyone focused on building something that works.

From idea to enterprise.

Compass Works began with product development.

It has grown into something larger because the work demanded it.

Today, we help ambitious product businesses connect the decisions that shape not only what gets built, but how it is manufactured, positioned, launched, operated, grown, and ultimately transformed into lasting enterprise value.

That's commercialization.

And that's the work Compass Works was built to do.
